Show your solidarity the Friday before Labor Day — and every member is entered to win $150.
On Friday, September 4, 2026, the Association is asking every member to wear their GAA shirt to work. It is a simple thing, and it is the one day each year when the whole membership — across every chapter, every department, and every worksite — is visible to one another at the same time.
No shirt? Wear royal blue. If you don’t have a GAA shirt, or it’s in the wash, wear royal blue instead. The point is that a member walking down the hall on Friday should be able to look around and see who stands with them. Blue counts.
A Labor Day Drawing — $150 Gift Card
In celebration of Labor Day, GAA will draw one member’s name to receive a $150 gift card. Every member in good standing is automatically entered. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to submit, and no form to fill out. If you are a member, your name is in the drawing.
The prize is fully donated. No dues money is being used for this drawing.
The winner will be announced on Friday, September 4. Watch your email.
Labor Day exists because working people organized. For those of us who serve the public, in the courts, at the airport, in the jails and clinics, on the engineering staff, and across county government — that history is not abstract. It’s why we have a contract, a grievance process, and a voice at the table.
